Brad's Mind: Think and Be Radical

So last night on the way to the movie The Devil Inside we (Tim, morgan, quinn and I) were drivin along, and look out the window and there’s a flying object! It has red and green lights, and looked really funky… like not human made. I swear it resembled some space alien craft, but I guess I was wrong. “HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT ITS A UFO!!” I was flipping OUT. I was about to legitly be a witness to UFO’s. And aliens, and the like. Morgan corrected me, though, it was just a helicopter… that would’ve been freakin sweet/ scary though if I had actually witnessed one. Careful of TEH Probing D;

This is some funny courtroom stuff I ran across from real court cases of just plain idiots (since there’s someone who records what is said at all times in a court of law). Lawyers are idiots as well as some of the witnesses they interrogate… Wow. 

• Lawyer: ”Now sir, I’m sure you are an intelligent and honest man—”
• Witness: ”Thank you. If I weren’t under oath, I’d return the compliment.”

• Lawyer: ”The youngest son, the 20 year old, how old is he?”

• Lawyer: ”I show you Exhibit 3 and ask you if you recognize that picture.”
• Witness: ”That’s me.”
• Lawyer: ”Were you present when that picture was taken?”

• Lawyer: ”You say that the stairs went down to the basement?”
• Witness: ”Yes.”
• Lawyer: ”And these stairs, did they go up also?”

• Lawyer: ”How old is your son, the one living with you?”
• Witness: ”Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can’t remember which.”
• Lawyer: ”How long has he lived with you?”
• Witness: ”Forty-five years.”

This country… is slowly becoming less and less American. In the sense of forgotten roots and forgotten morals that held this country in the highest regard/respect of the whole world. People feared us. Countries bowed to us at one point in fear of our unification. Of our regard for individual and progress. 

Now we aren’t respected anymore. We are laughed at. Thought of as a weak nation with an even weaker leader. A fucking monkey who is eating bananas in the whitehouse and destroying documents that were once considered more than valuable. I don’t believe in conformity. I’m 1000% against it. I do believe in roots, though. Sharing something that we can all base our lives on, and that’s freedom. I don’t like many things, and I don’t read the constitution like its my bible or anything, but I do believe the founding fathers started that from the deepest parts of their hearts to do something actually right. this nation was founded on rebellion, and honestly that’s what has brought us together, for the most part: rebellion against the rest of the world. Leaders who stand out in the crowd. Steadily, though, over the course of our generations’ lifetime America has lost that stance. We are no longer the rebel in the crowd, we are followers. Following the capitalist, overgrown nations that believe in conformity and negligence for human existence. And it’s not all the fault of the “government” its the fault of every generation before us, leading us up to this point of not caring, and under awareness. Everyone is in their own little world, thinking “Well someone else will take care of it, I’ll just vote and be a good little law abiding citizen. Keep my nose above water so I don’t drown.” Well look where that got us. A curious george leading this country, throwing shit around saying “I wonder what happens when I press this button.”

And now we are at a point where freedom of speech as we know it will be destroyed. Obliterated. Think about it. This STOP ONLINE PIRACY ACT won’t do any good. It will limit our freedom of education. Our RIGHT to knowledge. The government has so screwed our way of thinking, that education is not something earned it is something enforced. A falsification. Losers. When we surf the web we can find just about anything on any subject, ones that have been used, commented on, laughed on, made fun of, etc. Now that might change. They can call anything a “Copyright infringement” so long as the “Infringed” claims that it is so. Whole websites, like this one, like Youtube, like Facebook, can be targeted since INDIVIDUALITY thrives in them. So what if we accidentally copy anothers words, or post a video thats copyrighted? That’s our right. We want to know about the world we live in, and we shouldn’t have to worry further about cover-ups… which is exactly what the government is trying to do: limit our knowledge of conspiracies, and wrongdoings. Just like China. Just like Iran. Just like Hitler. Propaganda. We cannot trust anyone these days, especially the government… and it’s not just one side or the other. Republicans AND democrats pushed this bill. That little rat John McCain was the first one (with some other Dem) to bring the bill to Congress. All trying to cover their little political asses, and stay in their comfy chairs, while the rest of us are left powerless, literally. Our one strong point was knowledge. Our one power was being able to know whatever we want to know, or find out. That is in jeapordy now. It has to be stopped… but the problem is HOW? How the fuck do we stop this thing when we have no money, no say, no legitimacy and literally NO OPINION!!!! Those politicians won’t take us seriously. they just laugh at kids like us and say “What do you know of the world?” Well I know a helluva lot more than you do if you think that the world is supposed to be this way. the Right kids of My generation are the smartest, wisest, most aware generation I think, even though the mainstream bunch of kids are the same as past generations, I feel like the ones that are the  strongest make the most impact, and look the most different. I don’t know where i’m going with this anymore, But I wish I knew so badly how to stop this thing. I wish I could do something other than just write this little blurb on this website. I guess it’s all I can do at the moment: at least I’m fucking doing SOMETHING. ugh. fuck the world.
